Day 34 on our weight release journey!

Good morning my friends...I am in Shell Knob, MO. this week.  The weather is amazing; my in-laws are amazing along with my nieces.  We are all having the time of our lives.  Yesterday's drive was a little crazy...lots of storms and rain.  However, I did pack our food and prepared for our drive.  I am forever grateful for that, we were able to control what we ate and when we ate.  I will be doing the same thing next Saturday to ensure that I do not blow my goals.  The drive was very long but very beautiful.  I was grateful to be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery.  I did not feel like overwhelmed or even deprived from stopping and trying different foods along the way, like we usually do.  I am feeling fantastic about that.  The one thing I am really noticing is that my body feels clean inside.  You know that feeling when you clean your bedroom, everything is put a way....you know that really clean feeling...that is how my body is feeling inside.  It does not feel cluttered with toxins inside.  Flushing all that out with drinking water all the time.  It makes me feel proud of myself.  That I have really stuck to my goals no matter what.  It is that feeling of accomplishment that no one person can take away.

Today's tip #28 from "30 Quick Tips for Better Health" by Don Verhulst, MD., Practice Fasting.  Again, this is some pretty great stuff.  Did you know that fasting at least once a week can really improve your health and reduce the amount of fat cells in your body?  When you fast, your body gets hungry or stressed.  This causes the body to release the cholesterol so that your body uses the fat for fuel instead of glucose.  How amazing is that....you are literally getting rid of the fat cells in your body.  Also, fasting helps your health and your heart.  When you fast, you are cutting down the risk of coronary heart disease and diabetes, while lowering the cholesterol levels in your body.   I am so grateful that I have found this book and shared it with you the way I have.  This book really allows us to take one tip at a time and let it really sink in.  So however we are making changes in our bodies, we can really do it one day at a time.  For my personally, it is sinking in and I am actually implementing the tips.  Maybe that is why my body is really feeling clean inside.  I really do hope these tips are helping you as well.  I have been finding that I share these tips with my friends in conversations, along with the patients I serve a work.  I am able to understand the concept and share it with you and others.  Back to fasting...you can start with one meal, and then go to two meals, then building up to 24 hours.  You drink as much water as you can...if you need a little fruit or vegetable juice that would be okay.  Make sure your juice is pure and not from concentrate.  Pick a day it will work for you best.  Not only are we going to have slimmer bodies, our bodies will be very healthy and able to live a long active life.

There it is my friends.  I am so grateful to be able to share all that I am learning and really put the tips into play in my life.  I am really finding, the more I am staying on track effort, the better and more confident I am feeling about myself. Isn't what this is all about...helping us to look and feel confident!!!  WE are ON TRACK!!!  You should all be acknowledging yourselves.  You are all doing FANTASTIC!!!

I look forward to our chat tomorrow.  Have a great Sunday!!!  And let's start fasting for your health and our bodies.

Day 32 on our weight release journey!

Here we are taking every day as it comes.  Learning, experiencing and testing to see what kind of changes have stuck or have we tested the waters to see if the old way of eating is still haunting us?  Well, it is summertime and the weather has been crazy.  My whole family was home and nothing in the house to eat.  It was late...so I gave into the family and we ordered pizza.  Yes, you read it correctly, I ordered pizza.  I did drink a lot of water before we ate, however I did not eat as much as I usually did...but it did take a toll on my body.  As I got up this morning I had a headache along with being swollen.  I did not feel good about myself at all.  These things are going to happen....life is going to happen and we will be making choices for ourselves...some good and some not so good.  We can all agree...pizza is not a good idea.  Here's the thing that is different for me.  I normally would have beaten myself up about it and said forget the whole thing....but I didn't.  I even have wine in the house that I did not open.  So even though I did not make a great decision for my goals...I did not sabotage myself completely.  Today, I am drinking a lot of water...took my fat fighters last night...and I am eating healthy fruits and veggies today.  This is a journey we are on together...even though it is tough sharing with you my down falls...I hope this give you the courage to continue on and keep moving forward.  You are all keeping me moving forward and I am grateful for it.

Today's Tip # 27, from "30 Quick Tips for Better Health" by Don Verhulst, MD., Improve Your Memory.  Did you know we have the ability to repair existing brain cells, build new neuronal pathways, and create new brain cells even in our mature years?  We can take simple steps to make sure that we improve our brain function so we can live long healthy lives.  The word BRAIN outlines what we can do to increase our mental function so we can avoid Alzheimer's and dementia altogether.  B is for B VITAMINS...all the B Vitamins help fight stress in the brain cells. R reminds us to RESIST CALORIES...(this is something I did not know) people who eat less have better brain function.  We need a certain amount of calories to function, however if we fast at least once a week, we will improve our mental brain function.  A stands for ANTIOXIDANTS...the ACES vitamins...A, C and E, along with the trace mineral selenium, helps the brain to fight free-radical damage.  Make sure your multivitamin-mineral supplement contains adequate antioxidants.  I is a reminder to INCREASE OXYGENATION...a properly oxygenated brain is a healthy brain.  Exercise is key...exercise your body as well as your mind.  Exercise your brain with challenges daily.  N is for nutrients (brain food)...make sure you are getting the essential fatty acids found in raw nuts, seeds, and fish.  Make sure you are getting plenty of whole natural foods.

I will be missing tomorrow's blog.  I will be driving 12 hours and will not be near a computer.  However, I will be able to blog from Sunday to Friday...off on Saturday again, back on Sunday.  My plan for tomorrows travel will to be stocked with whole foods such as fruits, cut up veggies, raw nuts and seeds...and plenty of water to drink.   I will be stopping for exercise and little breaks.  I have it planned that we will not be stopping for fast food or bbq food.  I look forward to sharing my experience on Sunday with all of you.

There it is my friends...Its Friday...plan ahead, don't beat yourself up...and enjoy the fantastic weekend.  There may be some celebrations for you this weekend since the 4th of July is the middle of next week.  Stay strong...and always be confident in all your decisions.  If you do decide to eat something that may not be the best choice, enjoy it and begin again.  Have a great day!!!  Can't wait to chat on Sunday!!!!

Day 31 on our weight release journey!

It's Thursday and the sun is shining today.  We have had gloomy weather, horrible storms and that will tend to take a toll on people.  Me, I need the sunshine.  When the sun is hiding behind the clouds and it is always grey, I can't handle it.  I love to be out in the sun as much as possible.  You get your vitamin D from the sun as well.  If you are out in the sun with bare arms and legs for at least 20 minutes; you will get your dose for the day of vitamin D.  For me, I have been tanning over 20 years.  The tanning bed helps my skin in many ways as well as keeps my attitude in check.  I know there may be some of you who are against tanning...I get it...however for me it works.  I take very good care of my skin and it has never failed me.  I am also very responsible when it comes to tanning...most people who see me can hardly believe that in just a few short weeks I will be 45.  So tanning works for me...but you definitely need some sunshine to keep giving your body what it needs.  Please don't do anything that would hurt you when it comes to tanning.

Again we are coming up on the weekend.  We have been changing and tweaking our lifestyles now for 1 full month.  It is time that we start to really implement the changes and start enjoying our lives.  We have created some good habits to prepare us for special occasions, different food situations, and anything that can just pop up.  I will be putting my skills to the test starting this Saturday through the following Saturday.  What do I mean......well; it is summer time and what do we do in the summer....we go on vacation.  That is right; I will be taking a nice trip to the Ozarks in MO for 1 whole week.  I am a little nervous about it, because we will be staying with my in-laws who are amazing people.  But I have been changing my habits in such a way; I don't want to sabotage myself.  My mother-in-law always makes desserts, and they are the best. We have them after lunch and dinner....needless to say; I will be practicing the words No Thank YOU!!!!  I am allergic!!!  LOL  I have to laugh, because I love her desserts.  But if I keep the mindset it will kill me, I will have the power to turn it away.  One of the things we will be doing is packing the car with food that I will be able to eat on the drive down.  I will have a case of water with us, along with fruits, veggies, raw nuts/seeds and healthy sandwiches.  That way we won't have to stop for food.  I can keep on track with my eating.  The other thing I plan on doing is picking up different fruits and veggies that I can eat as meals.  That way, I do not over eat and eat something that will through me off my game.  I will also be doing a lot of swimming, walking and enjoying 10 100 degree weather.  Hopefully that will keep me on task.  I will still be blogging, so there is no way I can fall off.  I will still be taking pics on Monday....I will just be in a different setting and I will have someone take the pics for me.  But it will still be me.  I am feeling pretty confident...I am giving a heads up because I want you to realize you can't miss out on life even though we are on this amazing journey together.  I will also be bringing my Fat Fighters with me, so just in case I do decide to eat something, I can chase it with a fat fighter so it does not completely absorb into my body.

Today's Tip #26 from "30 Quick Tips for Better Health" by Don Verhulst, MD., Get Healthier Inside and OUT!!  Again, this is about how important exercise is to our bodies not only on the outside but the inside as well.  Here is something I did not know....when we don't move, our immune system can only go through our body once a day.  However, when we are exercising daily, the immune fluids are going through our body 4 to 5 times a day....AND every hour we work out, it will give us two more hours to our life.  I had no idea.  Also, it helps with keeping us looking and feeling young.  Fighting off disease.  Even cuts down how much we eat.  People who exercise daily get full faster, which will dramatically cut down the amount of food you are taking in.  One more thing, the more lean muscle we are building in our bodies creates a fat burning machine.  The lean muscle will you use the extra stored calories to keep going.  How cool is that?  All we have to do is start moving our bodies and finding a fantastic fun exercise that will keep our bodies melting the fat off.  So as our bodies are looking fantastic on the inside, we are looking and feeling confident on the outside.  WIN WIN all the way around.

There it is my friends...we need to really start implementing the new tools we have to live a healthy life and have fun in the process, and move our bodies so we are healthy happy beautiful people.  I truly am honored to be going through this lifestyle change with all of you.  We are truly AMAZING!!!!

Have a fantastic day!!! I will chat with you tomorrow!!!!

PS....don't forget to get into the sun!!!

Day 30 on our weight release journey!

Day 30...How is everyone doing?  Is it getting easier for you...or are you still struggling with the lifestyle changes.  I have noticed that I am not eating junk food.  If I don't have anything with me other than raw nuts, that is what I eat.  I have started to gross myself out with some foods so I don't find them desirable.  For instance, ice-cream is nothing but slimy sludge that clogs up my body.   Wine is like vinegar and who wants to drink that?  These are some of the things that I do to keep my mind off it.  If I smell a food or drink that will through me over the edge, I will automatically say to myself I can't stand the smell how disgusting, or I am allergic and it will kill me.  It may sound a little extreme, but that is what gets me through the day sometime.  I worked through a good bit of my lunch, didn't feel like getting food, so I went to tan, there is a burger place next to where I go, and you can smell the burgers....I just told myself how disgusting, it smells like vomit.  My brain automatically will go to the thought and sensation.  Now I feel like I am going to vomit.  It is amazing how the power of your mind works.

Today's Tip # 25 from "30 Quick Tips for Better Health" by Don Verhulst, MD., Drink the RIGHT WATER.  Make sure you are drinking water that does not have chlorine and chemicals in it.  If you are drinking flavored water, make sure it is flavored naturally by you.  Also, if you are drinking bottled water, make sure it hasn't froze or heated up in your car.  Chemicals from the plastic bottle will get into your water and you will be drinking in more toxins.  If your budget allows get a water filtration system in your home, or go to the store and get the water filter pitcher.  That way you are ensuring that you are drinking pure water.  Not all waters are created equal...especially by man.  I have really grown to love my water, sometimes that will be the only thing I will drink.  Also, green tea is good as well if you want to supplement your water and get a little change in.

There it is my friends....It is a little short and sweet today.  Keep doing what you are doing; I am so excited to be on this journey with all of you.  What is amazing is today makes a full month...how cool is that.  We can look back and see our progress and what we have done, instead of saying I should have started or stuck to it!!!!

Can't wait to chat tomorrow...have a fantastic Day!!!

Day 29 in our weight release journey!

How exciting....we are almost at a full month of our weight release journey together!!!  I have to acknowledge everyone on the great job that you are all doing.  That includes me as well.  I feel like we are on this emotional roller coaster right now that is taking us through all kinds of crazy turns and twists.  One day I feel like we are good, it's no problem, we can do this.  Then other days, I am second guessing this crazy ride we are on.  However, we have made it this far, and I bet this is the hardest month we will have to deal with.  Our bodies should be getting used to the idea of a healthy lifestyle.  I am sure we will go through some more ups and downs...but what is amazing is our bodies are definitely starting to change.  I am so grateful to be doing this with all of you.

Today's Tip #24 from "30 Quick Tips for Better Health" by Don Verhulst, MD., Laugh Your Way To WELLNESS.  This is an amazing tip...I learned that if you laugh you can reduce your stress quite a bit.  I had been watching the move The Secret; it is about laws of attraction, creating abundance in your life.  In the movie a woman discovers she has breast cancer...for 6 months she stayed away from stress and watched nothing but comedies and laughed all the time.  She also repeated over and over, thank you for my healing.  When she went to the doctor the cancer was decreasing without medication...she continued to stay away from stress, laugh, watch comedies, and continued to thank God for her healing.  It is an amazing story, and a true story at that.  What makes this tip so amazing, which I just learned; laughing releases endorphins into your blood stream.  Laughter can help the body destroy cortisol, the major stress hormone that can cause high blood pressure, fat around the abdomen and most importantly PREMATURE AGING.  Now I know we can all use some of that no matter what age we are.  Even if we force a laugh out of us at least 3 times a day...we can be melting the fat way from our bellies.  Anyone who is now in their 40's, somehow we get this crazy stomach that looks like we are pregnant...so now we can seriously just laugh it off.  So keep watching your funny movies and laugh until you cry!!!

There it is...Let's laugh until our bodies are nice and thin!!!

Chat with you tomorrow!!!

Day 28 on our weight release journey!

Hello my friends....how is everyone doing on this beautiful Monday?  We are officially 4 weeks in.  How has everyone's journey been going?  Are you finding that you have days that are difficult, or are you having an easy time?  Are you finding that you are missing out on certain foods and drinks and it is starting to bother you?  Are you finding that your why is pretty big, but you just want a little taste of this or a little taste of that?  Do you find yourself just wanting to dive into the foods that have kept you unhealthy and bigger than you want?  Well, now you know how things have been going for me as well.  I have a lot of fantastic days, but I am here to say; it has not always been a picnic.  I have struggled just like all of you.  This weekend was particularly hard for me.  I still have that little devil on my shoulder saying give in, give in...Nobody cares....give in.....But I do care.  One thing that I have found, and I have talked about it a few times is; I really put a lot of pressure on myself.  I have been scaling like there is nobody's business.  I have so many big goals, and what haunts me is all my failures.  That little devil keeps creeping in trying to tell me to forget it and go back to the way it was.  However my angel on the other shoulder is in the fight of her life.  She is not backing down and we are able to keep moving forward.  I share this with you because I want you to know we are in this together.  We have got some crazy habits that want us to give up on ourselves and satisfy that bad behavior.  We are important and so are the goals that we have...so no matter what, don't give up.  I am not going to give up...it is so important that I start seeing my results and getting healthier.  I can't go another day giving up on my dreams, and I don't want you to either.  We are strong confident women who are looking fantastic!!!!

Today's Tip #23 from "30 Quick Tips for Better Health" by Don Verhulst, MD., Don't Fear Cancer.  These tips are covering all different areas of life so we can live have happy healthy life.  When I first saw this tip, it scared me a bit.  I don't want to talk about cancer...However, who do we not know in our circles that has not had or died from cancer.  I remember when I was young; you heard about cancer, you didn't really know anyone who actually had it.  Today, who don't you know is the question?  I have had people around me who have survived along with passing away from cancer, it's terrible.  We need to pay better attention to what our bodies need along with what our body is saying.  You know the old saying, "Anger and Jealousy are as Rottenness to the BONES".  Well our immune systems major cells are formed in the bone marrow.  So if we are having toxic emotions, they are being affected in such a way that the immune system will not be able to fight the cancer cells.  Our immune system was designed to find and destroy the cancer that is already in our body.  We need to keep our spirits high, and not let negative emotions destroy our immune system and we need to detox our bodies along with eating very healthy.  To detox our body is to drink at least 8 - 10 glasses of pure water daily.  That will allow the body to flush out the toxins.  To eat healthy is to eat fruits, veggies and whole grains...staying away from high fatty meats.  We also need to poop at least once a day to flush the junk and toxins out.  Practicing these habits will give you the fighting chance to conquer any kind of cancer scares that might happen to you.  One thing I have learned is that if your body is alkaline, cancer can't grow in your body.  If your body is acidic, your body is a breeding ground for disease.  I drink my greens every day and balance the alkaline in my body.  The greens that I take do not taste like anything, and I put them in my water and drink it down.  For having asthma, I don't get sick as easily as I used to.  I have been taking greens for well over a year, and I have never felt better.  You should definitely find a product that will work for you and take it every day.  As we are releasing the weight, looking and feeling more and more confident....we also want to be healthy and live a long life.

There it is...I have added new photos for today along with my weight is at 204 lbs.  I did not gain or lose this past week.  I am grateful that I am at 204 because it was a tough week for me.  Lifestyle changes are not always easy, but they are definitely worth it in the end.  Keep plugging along my friends.  I am here for you if you need to chat!!!

Until tomorrow!!!!

Day 27 on our weight release journey!

How is everyone doing today?  It is Sunday, hot and sunny...the perfect day to relax and enjoy nature.  Yesterday I was completely exhausted.  I did not have anything in me do move or even get dressed...I was also in bed sleeping by 9pm.  There are times when you just need to refill the energy tank...that was me yesterday.  Today, I am outside enjoying my poultry...taking care of an injured swan in our channel and soaking up the sun.  I love days like these.

Today's Tip #22 from "30 Quick Tips for Better Health" by Don Verhulst, MD., Follow a Healthy Diet.  We have been talking a lot about what to eat, changing our lifestyles so we can achieve our healthy weight along with looking and feeling confident.  Here are some tools we can take from the word DIET....D is for Decisive.  Being decisive means you know exactly what you are doing for your body.  Knowing exactly what you are putting in your body that will allow you to take care of it and meeting your goals.  I is for Inspiration.  Get inspired!  Take some time everyday to read something that is inspirational to you.  It could be a positive thinking book, The Bible, whatever will get you inspired to continue on your journey.  E is for Eating and Exercising.  Make sure you are eating healthy clean food that your body will enjoy using as energy, instead of junk food that your body will store.  Make sure you are moving your body as well.  Take a nice brisk walk around your neighborhood, or go to a park and walk a few miles.  Do something that will keep you motivated and your spirits high.  Join a dance class, or take up a sport you have always wanted to do.  Do anything that will make your body move.  T is for Thinking.  Think of yourself as the new person you are creating.  Let the old habits and bad behavior just slip away.  Always make sure you are thinking about things that inspire you and keep you moving forward to your goals.  I really do enjoy these tips.  I have been learning and implementing different ideas to keep me moving forward.  Now, I am not perfect and I have made some decisions that did not move me forward this weekend.  However, we still have to live.  So I did choose to have a drink, but I followed it up with a few bottles extra of water.  I am also learning that I am not falling off my goals.  Even though I did have a drink...I am not going crazy or overboard for it.  That in itself is amazing for me.  Usually when I love something and have a taste, I am over the edge.  Not anymore.  Going through this with all of you has allowed me to see; I can just have a sip or a bite and not lose it.

There it is for today.  Tomorrow is weigh in and the photo shoot.  I will have on different clothes to outline my body more.  My other outfit is no longer form fitting, and I don't think it shows what we need to see.

Today is Sunday; the first person who shares their story or their results...good or bad gets a surprise from me.  You can privately email me if you like,
wrappingrita@yahoo.com  I would prefer you share on the blog so we can all be in this together.

Until tomorrow...have a fantastic day!!!!

Day 26 on our weight release journey!

6/22/2013

How is everyone doing on this fine Saturday?  I have to say, this past week was very long and exhausting.  Sometimes you really need a down day to recuperate.  I hosted Bunco last night with the girls and we had a blast.  We had all kinds of fruits and veggies and low calorie/low fat dips.  I did make watermelon mojitos which I will confess I did have one.  I opted for the spirit filled short glass.  It took me all night to drink along side with a few bottles of water.  I was not intending to drink the loaded; I was planning for the virgin...however I caved.  One thing that I did find, since I have not been drinking...it was not all cracked up to what I was thinking.  Maybe the love for the drink is finally subsiding.

Today's Tip #21 from "30 Quick Tips for Better Health" by Don Verhulst, MD., Conquer Insomnia.  A lot of times, even if we are getting to bed on time, we are either waking up in the middle of the night not able to fall back to sleep, or we can't get to sleep.  One of the ways to help you get to sleep is starting an exercise program.  That way you will be pretty tired for bed.  You don't want to work out right before bed or a few hours prior; your body will then be roaring and ready to go.  There won't be enough time for you to relax and fall asleep.  Another thing you can do is stay away from alcohol, tobacco and caffeine along with certain types of food.  Such as bacon, cheese, chocolate, ham, sugar, sausage and tomatoes before bed.  There is a chemical in these foods that will keep you from falling asleep.  You can turn the TV off when it is time to sleep.  Have a nice dark peaceful atmosphere will also help you to sleep.  If you need to take a power nap in the early afternoon, only let it be 20 minutes.  That way when it is time for bed, you will also be able to fall asleep.  Getting the proper rest is so important for your body and your well being.  When you get the amount of sleep you need, your body will start to let go of the weight.  Your attitude and behavior will start to change as well; you won't be so cranky from lack of sleep.  When your body is telling you to slow down and rest...if you can, listen and do it.  The more you become in tuned with your body; it will be easier to gauge what your body needs.

That is what I have for you today my friends.  I am pretty tired myself today.  I had such a long week at work with a lot of changes.  Preparing for my Bunco Night with the girls was a little stressful as well.  Whenever I am hosting, I really put myself out there along with adding tons of pressure to myself.  I always want everything to be perfect, and my guest well taken care of.  Today I am definitely feeling the effects.  Have a fantastic Saturday....make decisions for yourself that you can live with.  Drink lots of water....if you decide to eat or drink something that may through you off a bit, drink a few bottles of water to flush it out.

There it is...Can't wait to chat tomorrow!!!

Day 25 on our weight release journey!

Yes it is Friday once again.  How is everyone doing on this beautiful day?  The sun is hiding behind the wonderful storm clouds that are giving my yard a really nice drink of water.  There is a beautiful swan in my channel just loving the water.  Sometimes I don't mind a rainy day.  If you look hard enough, you can see the beauty in it.  I love it.

We are day 25....I can't believe it.  Where is everyone at...how are the lifestyle changes you are making going?  I will tell you one thing that I have noticed, since stopping the wine consumption....I can really smell the booze.  My husband drinks his beer, and boy does it stink.  I can't believe I was drinking that as well.  At least it is keeping me disgusted enough to continue not to drink it.  All I have been drinking is my water and black coffee.  The water makes the inside of my body feel so clean.  I really like that feeling.  The lifestyle changes are getting easier as the days go by.  Tonight I am hosting Bunco with my girlfriends.  We always have drinks, munchies and a fantastic time.  Tonight we will be having healthy munchies along with some spirit but I will be having the healthy drink without the spirit.  I have chosen the watermelon mojito's; it is made with fresh fruits with spirit...I will have it without the spirit.  It really is about knowing what is coming up and modifying what you are going to have or serve.  It is just that simple.  That way you don't feel like you are left out.  I think that is one of the most important keys to learn.  When we feel left out, it is so easy for us to abandon our goals.  But if we modify we won't have to feel left out.  We will feel fantastic and a part of the group.  It is all in our mindset and attitude.  I love it!!!  Just some simple changes can really set our goals on fire!!

Today's Tip #20 from "30 Quick Tips for Better Health", by Don Verhulst, MD., Eat Meat with Care.  So who's to say if we should be meat eaters or vegetarians?  It really is the opinion of experts as to what we should eat, and the experts don't always follow what they themselves say.  Here is what I am thinking for this tip; it is okay to eat meat.  You don't need it at every meal, but it is good for your body.  When you are eating free range or grass fed meats it is healthier for you.  Meat that is raised in a factory is pumped with antibiotics and the animals are not happy.  Grass fed and free range meats, the animals are living off the land and are happy.  They are not pumped with antibiotics that are making us sick.  If you are going to eat meat, eat a healthier meat.  Try to cut down how much meat you are eating as well....add in some fish.  You will definitely notice your body becoming healthier.  If you can't afford the free range or grass fed meat....no worries, choose more fish in your diet and use the regular meat as a treat every now and again.

There it is my friends....Keep going with your new lifestyle changes.  We are only a few days away from being on this journey for 4 weeks.  How exciting is that.  I love doing this with all of you.  Making sure you are not married to that scale.  I know it is hard...I am separating myself from my scale...keep your goals as a gauge as to how you are doing.  Also, think twice before you are putting anything in your mouth that is questionable.  And, make sure you are giving yourself a little make over so you can see the changes you are making to your body.

Have a FANTASTIC DAY my friends.  Chat with you tomorrow!!!

Day 24 on our weight release journey!

Day 24...wow, I can't believe how we have been moving along so quickly....I feel like I had just started this journey.  I remember how many diets I started just too quick within a few short days.  Then you hear about your friends who stuck with it and lost the weight....and beating myself up and saying "If I would have only stuck with it I would have lost the weight as well".  OH, how the good old days are behind us.  Now we are working together to keep our dream alive, and I can say I am forever grateful.  I am so grateful that we are sticking to our dream and getting better and stronger as each day passes.  Can you just image how things will be and look for us when our goals are reached and we have maintained the new us?  I am excited for that day!!!!

Tip # 19 from "Quick Tips for Better Health" by Don Verhulst, MD., Practice Good Hygiene.  This tip is about the abundant of water that is at our finger tips.  We can turn on the faucet to get our drinking water, wash our hands, and even take a shower.  We don't have to travel far to get it or worry about running out of our water.  As we are cleansing the inside of our bodies, we can also cleanse the outside.  This tip is also about avoiding the common cold by washing our hands when we come into contact with someone sick or touching something that has been sneezed or coughed on.  It is also about our water that has fluoride in it.  We have to make sure that we are drinking pure water, not with added fluoride.  Fluoride has been linked to Thyroid issues, some kidney damage, allergies, skin rashes, canker sores, gastric distress, headaches, joint pain, and on and on.  It is crazy how we are hurting ourselves day in and day out, not realizing what we are doing.  When you are drinking your water make sure it is pure....no additives.

I don't have much today...we are right on track.  One thing I will say, I have been a little cranky and blue these past few days.  It's the summer time and I am starting to really deal with myself.  I love those yummy summer time drinks and parties...and quite frankly, I have to adjust to everyday life without blowing my goal.  It is so important to keep my why in front of me.  Just knowing that my changes are for a greater cause to helping women, than myself.  I have a family who loves me, friends who care along with so many women trying to do the same thing.  However I know that we can all do this together.  If someone wants to share what they are doing, that would be awesome.  I would love to see how you are keeping your dream alive and attaining your goals.

Please SHARE!!!!

There it is my friends....weekend is getting closer.  Have a great Thursday!!!

I have been through a lot in my life just as everyone else; I have found that what I have gone through has always been for my highest good.  There is not a thing that I would change in my life; I would keep the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Sharing my lessons with you helps me to be the best version of myself.  What I have learned, I share so you are the best version of yourself.

When we stand together we are strong and tall making a more confident and loving world.  We are forgiving our past and embracing all that is learned.  We then are teaching our children to be human and the best version of themselves.
