I had worked an event this past weekend. It was outside and I thought I was prepared. I knew the sun was going to be shining and there was no way I was going to let anything get in my way. Saturday came with the winds getting stronger as the day went on. I had all my black green and bling out, all my shiny stuff ready to go so I can wrap people and make a statement. However, as the day went on and I was putting my display back together about every half hour. I was getting pretty frustrated. Then as the afternoon kicked in so did the wind and it kept taking the top of my tent off. Everything is falling over, blowing away...and I kept saying to myself even out loud at times " I quit ". But, if I had left early and did not stick it out, I would never be asked back to this particular event again. So I had to give it up and do the best I could under the circumstances. By 3:30pm I had had enough, I called my husband crying and asked him to rescue me and my tent. We salvaged what we could for Saturday and created a plan for Sunday.
Sunday morning came and I was slow moving. I kind of felt defeated but knew I could not give up. This is my dream to help women look and feel confident know matter what their age. So I had to dig deep into myself to do it all over again. I watch Joel Osteen on Sunday morning before I got into the shower. I had to leave the past where it was so I can move forward into my future. So no matter what happened yesterday...today was a new day for great things to happen. So I looked my best in my bling, put on my smile, locked it all down with my husband...and had the best day I had ever had. I sold wraps along with getting to wrap two people. It was an amazing Sunday!!!
I had a choice yesterday....I could have given up from losing the battle on Saturday or I could have picked myself up, dusted off and head into the war with my head held high with a smile on my face. I took option two and it paid off in so many ways.
In order for us to look and feel confident we have to do more, we have to do better. If we do that we will always end on top my friends. Don't ever give up on yourself and your dreams. Always be the best person you can be no matter what is thrown at you. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
Until we meet again my friends.
