It always blows my mind how many women are still affected by domestic violence; so many women feel like they have no choice other than to stay in situations that do not serve them; they are afraid and believe the lies that have been told to them.

I was introduced to Suzy's Place by Naz Shah who in turn introduced me to Arshia Hasnain who is one of the partners of Suzy's Place; Shahida Khan is also a partner along with Robyn Dessaure who is one of the Board Members.

These four ladies are doing great things with Suzy's Place that officially opened up in July 2017; right now they have 5 beds that are being used by women who are victims of domestic violence.  They are looking to help as many women as they can to be empowered along with getting the education that they need to keep moving forward in their lives.

These ladies are amazing at what they do, the love and compassion they have for these women along with the determination to help these women see how powerful they truly are is breath taking.

They have a fundraising coming up December 2nd, 2017 at 6:00 P.M....at Pearl Banquets, 1490 W. Lake St., Rochelle, IL 60172...attire is Cocktail or International....tickets are $75 per person.  There will be Dinner, Auction and Entertainment.
Contact Shahida Khan 847-401-6079, Arshia Hasnain 630-561-5870, Naz Shah 847-644-3790,

    Rita OWEN

I have been through a lot in my life just as everyone else; I have found that what I have gone through has always been for my highest good.  There is not a thing that I would change in my life; I would keep the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Sharing my lessons with you helps me to be the best version of myself.  What I have learned, I share so you are the best version of yourself.

When we stand together we are strong and tall making a more confident and loving world.  We are forgiving our past and embracing all that is learned.  We then are teaching our children to be human and the best version of themselves.
