What a great questions...it all depends on how you are looking at it or what time of year you are looking...right???
For me I always see flowers, who said that dandelions can't be flowers. I know that they create a lot of seeds and spread all over...but if you really look at a dandelion you will see how truly beautiful and powerful they really are.
The color alone is amazing...who doesn't love butter yellow? I just enjoy looking at a brand new crop of dandelions every spring; it is a freshness that just makes me happy knowing summer is on its way. Not to mention dandelions help feed the bees. It also helps feed us...we can eat the flowers along with the leaves if you haven't fertilized your lawn. Think about it...
Here is something else to think about....no matter how we try to eliminate the dandelions from our yard they continue to power through and continue to let us know they are still there. Is the dandelion a weed or it is a powerful flower that refuses to be plucked out of the garden of life.
When we look at our own garden of life, what are we trying to pluck out? Who is trying to pluck us out of our garden of life? What are we saying to ourselves about the beautiful flowers that we have been growing? Are we comparing our garden to someone else's garden? What are we letting others tell us about our garden? Is our garden not good enough, can it be better, could we have done a better job? Think about what we say to ourselves and let others say to us....what are we saying to someone else?
It's time for us to tend to our own garden of life; if we want dandelions or any other flower that someone may consider a weed...it's our garden; we can have anything we want. We have to remember we don't need the approval of another; we only need the approval from our own self.
Let your dandelions grow, be proud of your garden...don't let anyone tell you any different. YOU CAN HAVE ANYTHING YOU WANT.
Enjoy your GARDEN!!!
