I came across this inspiration today, and I thought to myself “How great it would be to expand upon this on my show tomorrow.” It is a great topic to start my radio show up again; the holidays are over and it’s time for a new us.
“I may not know where I am going, but I’ll be dammed if I’m going where I have been.” Think about that quote for a minute…How many times do we catch ourselves thinking and obsessing about the past? How we could have, should have or would have done something different. However, we never think about how it was done; actually the way it was meant to be done.
We always look for so many opportunities to beat ourselves up and drive ourselves crazy. We need to start realizing that we can never go back and change the past; all we can do is realize the lesson, accept it and move on. Once we start to take those steps, we start to realize that everything is actually working for our highest good.
We never know where we are going. We may have a plan for ourselves, but how it unfolds is not our plan. We need to keep moving forward no matter what. What keeps us trapped in our past is the fear of what was and what may be. We need to remember that no matter what we have gone through, we have learned and we won’t have to go through it again. Although, if we don’t learn the lesson, it is possible we may have to continue dealing with an issue until we learn what need to be realized.
Staying stuck in our past, going over and over again what occurred will also keep us trapped. It is one thing to learn from the past, and be who we are today because of it. But, it’s another to stay stuck and not move forward in our life. There is a good portion of us who have gone through something terrible in our past, some of us grow from it, and some of us are debilitated by it. We always have the choice to choose how are life is going to go; no matter what happens we can always rise and grow every time.
When I look back at my life, especially 2018, I see how much I have grown and how strong I am. I see there is not anything that I can’t do or figure out. I have seen how I responded to situations and came out on top, along with some other situations where I gave my power away. In the times of relinquishing my power, I saw where I could have let things go and not engage in the drama; from that I grew and I am grateful. I also regained my power back by learning the lesson.
We all can do it…we need to keep our eyes on our own prize and keep moving forward. Don’t let anyone or anything get in your way. There is always a way to move forward, you just need to learn how to be creative and stick to it.
Have an amazing day my friends.
