With that being said, today's quote is so important. "The first step to getting what you want is having the courage to get rid of what you don't want." Think about that for a second....................What is it that we actually want? This is something that is so important to figure out. When we know exactly what we want, we tend to not let anything get in the way. We know exactly how to go about it and no matter what is thrown at us we will always find a way to keep going.
Mostly that is true; however we are learning and taking one step at a time reaching our goals. We have never been down this road before and we are learning what it is that works and does not work. We have jobs, family, bills and obligations that take up a lot of our time. But we really need to sit down and realistically figure it out. What steps do we need to take to get to where we want to be? What amount of time is going to get us where we want to be? What disciplines do we have to enforce to get to where we want to be?
These are things we really need to be clear about and put into action on what we need to do to accomplish our goals. Without it we may not accomplish our journey, we may be afraid to move forward and tell ourselves "I can't do this," and give up.
This year I have been thrown a few big changes in my life; work has changed and I am going to be working in two locations with my team to make to clinics work, my son got himself in a bit of trouble that I have been dreading for some time, and my husband has been out of work for nine months, the money goes out quicker than it goes in. I am sharing this with you not because I want pity, I am sharing because I am completely stressed but I am still striving for my dreams. I am struggling a bit to reach my weight loss goal because of the added stress, but I am still working on it. I am working towards doing my business full time instead of being at my day job. It probably will take longer than I anticipated but I am still doing it. However, my blog has suffered and this too is very important for me.
My steps are to write down what it is I want and write down the time frames available and the action steps to take. This may not be easy, but God gives us only what we can handle. Apparently I can handle quite a bit, so I started to read inspiration before I go to bed at night and inspiration when I get up in the morning. That way I can keep my head on track and know that everything is working out the way it should be.
Keep your dreams and journey alive my friends....if you want to share your struggles please do. I would love to hear from all of you out there.
Have an amazing day my friends....until we meet again.
