Hello my friends...How is everyone doing on the wonderful Saturday?  I am doing pretty great...got up a little late this morning which is totally out of my character....must have really needed the sleep.  Took my shower and out the door I went.  It was a nice to be out of the house running some errands.  I also went to our Farmers Market to buy fresh strawberries.  Oh how I love my strawberries.  It is a nice sweet treat.  Makes me feel like the food choices I am making are pretty easy.

Today's Tip # 14 from "30 Quick Tips for Better Health" by Don Verhulst, MD., Live Lean.  L - stands for liquids.  The best liquid we should be drinking is water....it is pure without all the calories.  Drinking 2 Large glasses of water before you eat will help you to suppress your appetite and not eat as much.  You might be surprised as to how much weight you can release by drinking water alone.  E - stands for exercise. Exercise builds lean muscle mass.  This is a cool tidbit I did not know, 1 pound of fat only burns a couple of calories in a day....however 1 pound of muscle can burn up to 50 calories in a day just because it is there.  The muscle becomes a calorie burning machine.  This is also great information for people trying to starve themselves.  When you don't eat and lose a lot of weight, you are actually losing muscle...that will definitely slow things down for you.  Also, when you are exercising you may notice the shape of your body first before you notice the weight coming off.  The more you exercise, the more your body will burn and then you can eat a little more healthy food and still release the weight.  A - stands for avoiding high fat and sweet food, anything that is deep fried or junk food.  A is also for adding fiber.  High fiber veggies help sweep away the fat and toxin in your body along with keeping your bowels working properly.  N - NEVER skipping meals and NIBBLING on raw veggies between meals.  This will keep your metabolism working all the time.  These tips are amazing.  All we need to do is find our favorite healthy fruits and veggies and drink lots of water.  I can't wait to see how everyone is making changes.   Also, preparing home cooked meals with raw fruits and veggies will make a fantastic low calorie high fiber meal.  Also, those 2 large glasses of water before we eat....genius!!!!

There it is my friends....don't be skipping meals, choose to drink lots of water and eat your raw fruits and veggies.  Tomorrow is Father's Day!!!  I know it is a great day of celebration and eating....make sure you eat a little something before you head out to where ever you are going.  Drink lots of water....and remember, your event is for a day...but our goal is for a life time....Choose well....If you want a dessert or some wine....pick which one you want and have a little bit...That way you are not feeling deprived or left out.  Make your event about your dad or whoever you are with...Try not to make it about the food.  Have a fantastic Day!!!!

See you tomorrow!!!

I have been through a lot in my life just as everyone else; I have found that what I have gone through has always been for my highest good.  There is not a thing that I would change in my life; I would keep the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Sharing my lessons with you helps me to be the best version of myself.  What I have learned, I share so you are the best version of yourself.

When we stand together we are strong and tall making a more confident and loving world.  We are forgiving our past and embracing all that is learned.  We then are teaching our children to be human and the best version of themselves.
