When we are on a journey, sometimes it is easy to get lost in how much further we still have to go rather than focusing on how far we have come. Sometimes we think the distance may be too much for us to handle and we should just give up. We think about how we can't do it or it isn't for me to achieve.
I want you to know that we all go through these thoughts and feelings in our journey. It is all about the process and what we are learning. For myself, I have had success along with the failures. It is all a part of what we are doing. The thing is, when we have a success, we tend to fall off the wagon a bit....the only reason as to why I can think of why we do it, is to get ourselves set up for the next part of the journey we are going to learn. It's almost like we got through that hurdle and we want to take a break...but there are on breaks on what we want in our life. We have to keep going and achieving our goals. We need to realize that we can do it no matter what we are successful at and what we fail at.
A blogs ago I talked about inviting the failures is....we definitely need to do that so we can keep inviting the successes in. I think for me right now I am getting nervous about the holidays....instead of enjoying myself, I am finding myself getting a little cranky. I am afraid of putting on what I have taken off. I want to go into hiding for the next two months so I don't have to be tempted....However, the temptation will be there for me even when I stop hiding. It will show up differently, and then I will be kicking myself for missing all the fun and festivities. When we have big goals and we are focused, we have to allow ourselves some moments of weakness. We need to take in what life has to offer. We can't allow ourselves to be sitting on the sidelines because we are afraid.
So today, think about how far you have come to get where you are at....no matter the length of our journey, we will get there. We will have succeeded in so much more that we know. This journey has turned into so much more for me that just releasing the weight....that is why the stakes are so high for me, when I fail it's big; when I succeed it too is BIG!!!! Keep going my friends. You owe it your SELF!!!!
Until we meet again...Stay dry and safe!!!
