I was going through my Facebook page and I came across this inspiration; Nothing in the world can bother you as much as your own mind, I tell you. In fact, others seem to be bothering you, but it is not others, it is your own mind. When I read this I could not believe how true this is for me. I am sure this quote is true for many of you out there as well.
If you honestly think about this quote and seriously look at yourself with this in mind, you will see how true it is. I'll give you an example of my own life; I can wake up in the morning crabby and I will take it out on my husband. Just him getting out of bed when I want some quiet time will set me off. I get so mad at him and truly it has nothing to do with him. I woke up crabby from my own mind...he did nothing to me, and yet I am mad and irritated at him. How many of you out there can say that about yourself? How about the fact you get up late in the morning, you're then rushing to get to work and all of a sudden it seems that every slow person on the road is in front of you making your day more miserable. However, it's not them, when you are on time your fine, the traffic is always the same...but when you are rushing, you are angry and maybe even saying some crazing things in the car. Does this resonate with anyone out there? It definitely does for me.
Can you imagine if we started to be responsible for our own crankiness that goes on in our own heads? The crankiness that starts in our heads is the lack of confidence that we have in ourselves. When we are not confident or we feel powerless we then take it out on others...but when we are confident and feeling powerful we are happy and there are no issues. This is something to truly ponder.
I have a lot of things that I am doing with my life. I am building a business, taking classes and I am writing this blog along with being on a radio show. I also want to start writing a book. This all sounds great, maybe even impressive however I don't always wake up ready to conquer the world, most times I wake up scared and I have to prepare myself to conquer the world. I will have an amazing day and things are going great, I finally feel like I have wins in my pocket, then I go to bed when I awake in the morning I have to start again. Sometimes, a lot of times I have to pick myself up and really prepare myself, tell myself I can do it. I am smart enough and deserving to get what I want. I have to change my mindset so I can have a productive day. It happens to all of us. The difference is that I keep fighting and going no matter how tough it is for me. When you give up, you give up on yourself; that's when the failures knock you down instead of becoming lessons.
This blog is about helping women to be confident and powerful, you are already all these things we just need to do some house cleaning in your mind so you find yourself again. Being powerful and confident is not about the outside of you, it truly is the inside of you, that's the most special part of you.
Have an amazing day my friends...until we meet again...
With all my love...Rita
