So, who took on looking at themselves in the mirror? What did you see? I would really love it if you would share. It is so important that we help each other grow. What I saw for myself is love, strength and beauty. I have been doing mirror work off and on for a few years. When I first started I could not even be with myself. I would get angry and cry, say horrible things about me....I even told myself I hated me. How sad is that. How sad women out there don't know their worth and how beautiful they are. I definitely didn't. I loathed every part of my body, my being, even my existence. I didn't even understand why I was on this earth. When I started the mirror work my son was around 13 years old. I could not believe that God hand entrusted me with raising such a wonderful boy....I felt like he had gotten it all wrong. But as my son got older, he was in High School, he had a friend who was troubles and no one understood; but Frankie got her. I asked Frankie what was it that allowed him to help her; he said it was you. I had been with you my whole life and learned how to handle things with you mom, and she is just like you. So I know how to handle and take care of her. I had never been more proud of myself and Frankie, because his friend now is doing great because of the time Frankie took with her. When I look back at my life and my journey, I see that everything did happen for a specific reason; I would not change a thing. When I look in the mirror now....every day I see someone who is doing great things with her life. I have nothing but pride and joy for myself....I want all of you to feel the same.
I know this may be hard to share, but if you are up to it, please share your story....we will all grow with each other's experience.
Tip number 5 from "30 Quick Tips for Better Health" by Don Verhulst, MD, Get to Bed ON TIME! We should be getting between 7-9 hours of sleep a night. Most of us I'm sure are only getting between 4-6 hours of sleep a night. When I learned about the benefits of sleep, I started to get to bed on time. I bodies heal while we are sleeping. They are also regenerating and recharging for the next day. When we don't get enough sleep our bodies can't fight off disease, release the weight and have a fantastic attitude. How many of us are fat, tired and depressed? How much sleep are you getting...are you up all night pacing worrying about what you do not have control over? Worrying about the bills, how things are going to work out, what this world is coming too....we all do it....but we need to learn to quiet the mind so we can get our sleep. I have learned to meditate before I go to sleep. It allows my body to quiet down and relax, so I can fall into a deep slumber. Also, ear plugs! hahahahahha My husband will snore very loudly....so ear plugs helps me fall asleep. When you wear the ear plugs, you can hear yourself breathe and that can be quite soothing...so give it a try.
Okay my friends, so there it is....my challenge for you today is to continue to drink your water, eat your fruits and veggies and get to bed on time. Who is with me?
As usual please share this blog with your friends. I would love a huge following of women standing up and taking charge. I am so excited to start a whole movement of Women Looking and Feeling CONFIDENT!!!!
Have a FANTASTIC DAY!
